Hi everyone, thanks for being here, for supporting the brand.  Wherever you are in your journey, I hope my story can inspire and motivate any endeavor you pursue.  We all have a story, each one unique, and I created Solstice to share mine and connect others who may be on similar paths.

 

I chose the name Solstice because it marks a stillness & shift, the exact moment the seasons change, where light and dark change hands — a natural turning point. For me, it represents the shift within, because like the solstice, we all must go through seasons of darkness to see the light again.

 

Each garment represents a journey, a story crafted in design, engineered for hybrid athletes — those who train both body and mind, regardless of athletic discipline.

 

This first entry shares the part of my story that truly inspired Solstice.  Moving forward, this journal will share stories of others, interviews, collection releases, giveaways, and a new content series - Solstice Sessions.

 

This is just the beginning.

 

--- The Founders Story --- 

 

One day, I simply found myself mentally trapped — disconnected from who I was, carrying a mind and body that felt broken.  With no warning and no reason, I looked around and everything felt different.  Triggered into a spiral of panic, depression, and hopelessness.  It felt like the carefree spirit I once had was gone forever — replaced by the crushing weight of the world, undeserving of happiness, destined only to survive, not to live.  Even the memories of a younger self I held onto as an escape started to feel complicated.  Life changed, and my understanding of it changed too.  It added a new kind of suffering — not just for the future, but for the past I once believed in.For years, I lived in a kind of purgatory.  The only solace I found was clinging to the small escapes of physical activity.  The track, court, turf, and gym - These were small escapes from reality where I could push my body and find balance thereafter.

 

The gym had always been my sanctuary, but it's purpose for me transformed over the years.  Through lifting and training, pushing my body to the edge, I found a way to quiet my mind — even if only for a few hours.  Physical strain became my mental reset.  Change didn’t come fast, but instead with small, invisible steps.  Working hard, in silence. Building strength & mental fortitude.  Rebuilding myself, piece by piece.  In time, with continued work and discipline, there was a shift.  Years, of early morning training, no matter how hard, elevated every other aspect of my life. 

 

The real acceleration though came with the gift of those around me.  My wife, who at the time she came into my life, sparked the small fire that had quietly been burning inside me.  For the first time in a long time, I could see a future I wanted to build — not perfect, but real.  Not without pain, but full of meaning.  Because what I've found is that life isn’t about avoiding pain.  It’s about taking it all in stride — the good and the bad — and moving forward anyway.

 

That process is what gave way to Solstice.  I wanted to create some that could transform adversity into resilience. To build symbols of strength that others can wear, believe in, or grow from.  To prove that light and dark can coexist.  And to leave behind something real while helping and connecting others.  Through movement, physical training, and struggle, you can find balance & elevation.

 

Today, I'm still writing my story.  Building Solstice into a global brand, connecting those who seek balance through rigor, elevating their mental journey through physical strain. For those who work in silence.  Founded on the summer solstice, today marks our 3-year anniversary.  For me, I continue to train every day, for strength, endurance, and balance in all aspects.  Not that things are easier, but so I'm equipped with the grit needed to continue moving forward in any season.

 

Solstice isn’t just an apparel brand.
It’s a symbol of a new beginning.
Of opportunity amidst chaos.
Of stoicism, ambition, resilience, and hope.

 

Because even when the light feels distant, even when the weight feels unbearable — your story isn’t finished.  It’s just getting started.
